On a cold rainy day (that 9 months of the year here) the animals just hide away. I am impressed with this place, and hope that more people come to take advantage of this amazing experience. We had an absolute blast and came out with so many fun photos! While youre in Voodoos neighborhood, pop across the street to the iconic Keep Portland Weird sign and snap a selfie proudly featuring the citys unofficial mantra. I have been to other selfie exhibits and but this one was unique! This museum serves as a focal point for the preservation and sharing of the history and culture of the Japanese American community in Portlands Old Town neighborhood. Still layout in the original 19th century style. The only thing strange about this Southeast Portland museum, which is free and open from 5 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, is that its totally landlocked in a residential neighborhood.
